II. CHECK PLANISHING AND ELIMINATE MAJOR DEFECTS
Because a bad planishing distort the visualization of the tension.

III. CHECK STRAIGHTENING ON THE WHOLE LENGHT OF THE BLADE.
Move the blade of half a rule each time.

IV. CHECK TENSION IN CONCAVE AND CONVEX POSITION
To control if the trough value is equivalent to the curve value.

V. TENSIONNING, STRAIGHTENING AND LEVELLING WITH A TENSION DEVICE
If necessary

VI. FINISHING LEVELLING WITH AN HORIZONTAL LIGHT ON THE RULE’S BACK.

VII. LEVELLING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BLADE.

1. For sawmill with classic guides

It is necessary to finish the planishing by the outer side because if there still are bumps, they will be on the pulley’s side so the blade will have a strong pulling.

2. For sawmill with pressure guides

It is necessary to finish levelling by the outside side on order to the blade or blades to be outer side of the guids. This will allow to the side of the blade to stood against the guides.
